Are dreams real? Yes and no. Can one catch them? Maybe. The Indians have hung dreamcatcher over their sleeping places. They were supposed to keep away bad dreams and hold on to good ones. The dreamcatcher's materials are highly symbolic: the spider's web, the bird feathers, wooden pearls as a warm yet transient material.
Many dreams vanish when the light of day comes.
What is the dream in sleep is the fantasy in the daytime. Images can materialize and capture what was only imagination.
For me painting means catching dreams.
